Assign Rooms Blocked for Another Reservation(s)

When users enter a room number that is already assigned to a different reservation or to shared reservations in the Change Room pop-up screen, the following alert is displayed in the Change Room pop-up screen: This room cannot be assigned as it is already assigned to another reservation. Please see below for details.

When users select the conflicting reservations, the Swap Room and Release Room options will be enabled for selection.

The following table lists the various scenarios in which the rooms can be swapped between the current and conflicting reservations when the Swap Room option is selected:

Scenario	Description
When a room is not assigned to the current reservation.	The room is released from the conflicting reservation and assigned to the current reservation. When the selected room is from a different room type as the current reservation, the Room Type Swap pop-up screen appears that prompts users to confirm if the room type must be changed. When users click Yes, the Swap Rooms pop-up screen appears where users can select either the Modify Rates or Keep current rates option. When the Keep current rates option is selected, the room is assigned to the current reservation for the existing rate plan. When the Modify Rates option is selected, users must select a new rate plan with which the room is associated. When the selected room is from the same room type as the current reservation, the Room Type Swap pop-up screen does not appear, and the room is assigned to the current reservation for the existing rate plan.
